Philip Cole

A reliable, tenacious leader of projects and teams with considerable experience of leading and supporting business change in marketing, IT, finance and corporate communications during a 30-year career with Royal Dutch Shell plc.
After leaving Shell, Philip set-up on his own to undertake contract work; he recently completed a series of contracts with the Co-op Group to help them deliver a major strategic change initiative. He also holds responsible positions for a local voluntary group and a regional sporting organisation.

 

 


Experience:

  In Shell UK’s downstream oil business he became recognised as an expert in quality management, business process management and continuous improvement techniques; advised senior leadership teams, coached and trained staff at all levels, led and facilitated improvement and problem solving teams

  Delivered the strategic transformation of Shell’s global internet presence, including the supporting technologies and services, to reduce overall costs and improve the user experience

  Led the design and implementation of an intranet portal for all Shell staff worldwide

  Delivered process standardisation for a global IT organisation

  Created and implemented employee engagement strategies and plans for global IT and finance organisations; planned and managed communication activities and events for senior leaders.
