How can I help?

You can help by joining the Planning Operations Committee. Whatever your skills and business experience we will try to find a role for you either as a diagnostic coach or in another capacity. By joining the Committee you will have the opportunity to influence both the strategic direction and the “day-to-day” operations of Enterprising Macclesfield.

You may even also consider becoming a director of Enterprising Macclesfield – we are a Community Interest Company.

All committee members, including the directors, are volunteers; no remuneration or expenses are paid.

Who are we looking for?

The profile for a member of the Committee is very similar to that for a coach with the addition of bringing relevant leadership and/or functional skills and experience.

What’s in it for me?

Being a member of the Committee gives you a unique opportunity to broaden your experience and skills, increase your network of contacts and have the satisfaction of helping local people progress their business ideas. Your involvement may well be worth a mention on your CV!

What level of commitment will be required of me?

This will depend on the role you take on the Committee. The Committee meets quarterly and the meeting typically last up to three hours. In addition, members do work outside these meetings, with the amount of which again depending on their roles.

It is recognised that members take on and fit in work of Enterprising Macclesfield subject to their own business and personal commitments.

I am interested in joining the Committee, what do I do next?

Please send an email to info@enterprisingmacclesfield.co.uk expressing your interest and how you think you would be able to help. One of our directors will then contact you to explore how to take matters forward.
